Meet the Teacher

My name is Laura Fernandez and although this is my first year teaching in Montgomery, it is my 12th year working in education.  Previously I have taught preschool and kindergarten in New Jersey, Alabama, and Georgia as well as serving as a learning disabilities teacher-consultant (LDT-C) on a Child Study Team.

My Family

I am the proud mother of four children.  Jimmy is 26 and a first-year 3rd grade teacher in the county, Tommy is 24 and works in the film industry, Isabella is 19 and a sophomore in college studying to be a teacher, and Angelina is a bubbly 4th grade student this year!

We love big dogs at our house!  We have a 130-pound Saint Bernard named Lola and a 150-pound Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff) named Apollo.
